Day 2: 95 km, Vasalemma to Haapsalu
Start time: 2 PM (after grocery shopping)
End time: 9:30 PM (an improvement)
Overnight: NOT Endla Hostel, but Kongo Hotel in the old town in Haapsalu
"Highlights":
- ruins of Padise monastery
- 25km of gravel roads (serious butt-pounding, although not as painful after significant loss of sensation since yesterday)
- excellent camping lunch at 5pm at a bus stop in Nõva -- black bread, sausage, yummy tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese (thanks to Bethany for superuseful Swiss army knife, circa 1990, still sharp)
- probably some church, can't really remember much else, it was a long day
- finally getting to Haapsalu after many many hours of hard biking...
- ... to the main square of town in the middle of a local weekend festival, complete with rock concert (Vientiane flashbacks)
- police escort from main town square to our ho(s)tel
- ... only to find out that our hostel did not keep our reservation and that we were homeless
- but all ended well and Kongo Hotell was more than adequate (for double the price)
