I'm using a very old hotel computer so I will keep the words for a later entry.  I just wanted to get some pictures added (if I can on this old thing).  The pick up went well, she slept for three hour stints, she attached to Lan right away.  This morning she is smiling and very active.  I'll write more later. Enjoy the pics! More pics later too.

Okay - so the pictures wont upload.  I'll have to do that from Saigon tonight. Sorry.  I'll give you more info then.  Anelise is doing well.  She does not appear to have any of many skin ailments we were prepared to fight.  She does have a bit of scarring from multiple mosquito bites but that is all.  They gave her a hair cut just before we arrived.  We will  have to fix that when we get home :).  The orphanage was a large place and the children were happy to see us.  Harrison passed out candy to many of the kids. Anelise did not cry but was very easy going at first and was just as curious about us as we were about her.  However, when we returned to the hotel, she would cry as soon as Lan left her sight.  So we fixed that by making sure Lan never left her sight.  Anelise christened the bedspread where Lan and her were to sleep by spitting up her entire bottle.  Phew, forgot about that part of babies.  20 minutes later and a fresh set of linens and she and Lan were asleep.  Anelise woke up around 4 time during the night and cried but Lan was very good at soothing her and getting her to go back to sleep.  This morning we went to the government building here in Soc Trang and completed the adoption. She is now officially ours.  During that ceremony she squirmed like a fish and behaved just as any normal 10 month old would in her situation.  She did not cry but wanted to grab everything within reach and then promptly throw it down on the floor.  We are back at the hotel now and we will be traveling back to Saigon in about 2 hours.  I should be able to post lots of photos when I get back there around 8 tonight (8 am Monday US EST).    Until then.

PS  - The map on this travel blog site does not recognize Soc Trang so I had to pick the closest town near it.  If you loo k on google maps and then  keep going south, you'll find Soc Trang.

Hair cut
Sorry to hear they gave her the Robert Free special. The best part is it will grow back and can be re-styled. Glad to hear everything is going so well. I think we will have most of the shifts covered tomorrow. We are trying to get Alan to take a shift.

Lazer1 out.

How amazing! You guys are together at last!
I'm so happy for you, what a wonderful adventure!
I'm anxiously awaiting those pictures!
Oh yeah, the party at your house was FABULOUS!
Sorry about the mess?! It wasn't a precious
little angel that threw up on your bed here!
We tried to clean it up, but it still smells a little funny. Love you all...Tracey
