We've made it!  It took us a little over 30 hours total travel time but it all went very smoothly.  We met our driver just outside of the airport (man was that a mad house, tons of people, cars and motorbikes all honking their horn) and he gave us a ride to our hotel. It became apparent after a few minutes on the road that traffic sign and signals are really suggestions or guidelines as to how you should drive versus actual rules drivers obey.  We saw motor bikes running read lights and no one paid any attention to the lanes painted on the road.  It was pretty cool, although I'm glad I wasn't driving.  We made it through customs with only a minor issue and all of our luggage showed up.  The hotel is clean and the staff seems very friendly.  Harrison and Lan have gone to bed as it is nearly 1:20am here (but 1:20 pm back home).

We are going to Soc Trang tomorrow to meet Anelise.  We depart for the 7 hour car drive around 11am local time.  I doubt I will have internet access down there so the next update will be with pictures of our new daughter!

Glad you arrived
Hi everyone - We are so happy that you arrived safely. It's such a emotional journey. We are very glad to get the news about your travel. I can't believe it takes 30 hours. On Friday & Saturday while you were traveling, I kept wondering where you guys were on your trip (this was before I can get Mark to show me how to get in the blog & read your info :))

I heard thru my recent travel friend that just got back from Vietnam & she got hurt from people stealing her purse. So hide your travel id well. We are praying for your safe trip there & back.

Love
Nhung & Mark
