As I remembered driving in India is a nightmare. They say you need 3 thrings when you drive here, a good horn, good brakes and very good luck. We travelled from
Agra to
Jaipur yesterday and the 225km took us 5.5hours!!!. Cows, people, camels, goats, donkeys, bikes, buses you name it we saw it. No need for car trip games here there is enough to keep you busy outside the windows as long as you don't look out the windshield. We only had to veer off on to the shoulder once to avoid a bus so I guess we were lucky. We are staying in an old palace built in 1835 by the Maharaja of
Jaipur which is very intersting. 47 acres in the middle of a city of 3 million people. The grounds and the building are absolutley beautiful. Just a quick update to let you know we are still alive.

Heading down to Portland!
Mom and Dad and I are driving down to Portland in the morning. I'm not sure how easy it is to call us, but we would love to talk to you on Christmas day....

Leaving for Portland
Hi everyone - got your message and will take care of the deposits tomorrow. We are leaving for Portland in a little while - the big storm they were predicting never arrived so hopefully we will get to Jo & Jeff's without having to go through heavy rain. We are going to stop in La Conner on the way down.
