. Chester. He donated the land, which is Dublin castle area, and all the material to the state. My favorite exhibition was the paintings. The paintings were from the early 20th century from Paris. I wasn't allowed to take pictures because some of the paintings were on loan from another museum. We ate our packed lunch of pb and j at the library cafe. Next we moved on to the leprechaun museum. Placed in the heart of Dublin, below a gym and next to a shopping mall, the leprechaun museum is a charming museum full of leprechauns! Jalan and I started our tour in a small room full of leprechaun memorabilia. My favorite thing from the room was a sign that had a quote from Myles Na Gcopaleen that started with "some of my best friends are leprechauns". When the tour actually started we went through a magical tunnel that turned us to the size of leprechauns. We came out the other end into a giants room. The chairs were three times this size of me! I had to have one of the other tour members boost me up on to the chair so I could get a picture. Then we moved into another room where we heard of the ancient tales of Ireland, leprechauns and the fairies. Next we got to go through a rainbow and see the pot of gold at the other end (lot less exciting than I thought it would be). The last two rooms were stories about the fairies and leprechauns. At the end we actually got to meet a real life leprechaun! (But you'll never know for sure because they don't like cameras so we weren't allowed photos together). The last stop of the day was the Jameson distillery
. We got a tour of the old distillery and a walk through of the step by step process of who whiskey is made. At the end they needed volunteers for taste testers. All three of us raised our hands but only Jalan and Dlaine got picked :(. They got to compared Jameson whiskey to the best selling World wide whiskey (jack Daniels) and the best selling Scottish whiskey (black label). All the volunteers picked Jameson in the end as the best whiskey. Then all of us got one free glass of Jameson. I had Jameson, ginger and lime as my first ever whiskey drink and it was yummy. On the way to dinner we passed a whole long wall of really cool graffiti. The wall was donated by the state to be decorated by local artist. After dinner the three of us went to a Irish bar called church to listen to some Irish folk music and watch some Irish dancing. We even got to join in on the dancing!
Started the day at trinity college. Aoife told us that we had to see it. Her mother had gone there for college and there is a rich history behind the oldest university in Dublin. About 20 pictures into trinity my camera decided to stop working. I assumed it was just that my battery had died. So I changed to a new battery, took a couple more photos and again my camera died. I decided I wouldn't worry about it today I had another battery at the house. The rest of the day I used my iPhone to take pictures. In one of the squares there was this cool gold world spinning around, I took a video of it. We moved to thebDublin castle next (not an actual castle btw). There are remains of a castle there but most of it is new buildings. A pretty park is placed in Dublin castle. It has a Celtic design inlayed in the green. You can't see the whole design at once but we google earthed it. In Dublin castle there is the Chester Beatty library. The library is a three floored museum. All of the books, manuscripts, paintings, and statues were all collected and owned by Mr
