So after a very slow weekend into week I promised myself that I would do something exciting this weekend and I did. On Wednesday I got a text from a buddy I made here in London, he had an extra ticket to Thursdays football game (soccer for you Americans) and asked if I wanted to go. I couldn't pass up a free ticket to a football game so I said yes. I was lucky enough to have run into some Chelsea fans a couple weeks back and was had some knowledge of the team. Our seats were pretty amazing, I could see the players faces from where I sat. The way the football league here works is that points are kept from game to game when playing the same team. So Chelsea had played Prague the week before and beat them 1-0. I was watching the second of the two games between Chelsea and Prague and the 1-0 score kind of continues on to that game. Prague scored in the first half making the score even. The game was really cool to watch and Chelsea fans are some of the best I've ever seen
There is this fad on YouTube of making a video to the Harlem Shake. It's a dance song kind of thing and there was supposed to be one shot today in London in front of Big Ben. My friends and I decided it would be cool to be on YouTube so we went down to the Thames. Unfortunately the person setting it up wasn't organized enough and no one else showed up. So instead we walked around west minster. I got to see Big Ben, west minster abbey, the London eye and the parliament building. I thought that Big Ben would be bigger, I was slightly disappointed about it. The parliament building was big. I'm not sure why they needed a building that big when parliament isn't that big. They have a really pretty park behind parliament that we walked through. We walked across the bridge and tried to find the imperial was museum, but when we finally found it there was a sign saying it was closed until July. Feeling down about our loss we headed back to the tube station in search for lunch..
Finally I had the wonderful chance of meeting Allen and Luca tonight for dinner. I took the train north to their part of town and they met me at the train station. We had to stop at Allen's place so Luca could change out of his dirty clothes (he had been playing soccer in the park). Italian was the choice for dinner and I was told that Luca would be ordering for us because he speaks Italian like a roman. And it is true! I am very impressed on how grown up Luca is. It was also really cool to get to know some of the other side of the family. Allen promised me he would take me his local bar the next time I came up because he has taken Ariel and Abra and I would feel left out if I didn't get to go.
