At this point I'll leave it there and digress a little to explain the title of today’s blog
So back to our intrepid photographer, who paying no attention to what was on the ground, stepped into an ants nest. It took her a few minutes to realise that the ants were not best pleased with having a size 11 shoe slapped into the middle of their house and quickly fought back. Some ants were dispatched into her penetrable pants, others were ordered up to her back and neck and a whole legion was dispatched to eat her brain. It was one of the rare moments were she handed the camera to me, because she had to do something about the oncoming ant invasion. The only cure was to strip off in the jungle and hand pick the ants off one by one. Fortunately, she was ok, only a few minor ant nips and she could continue to take 2000 photos of the waterfall with different exposures.
The afternoon was spent doing a community village walk. We visited a school, hospital, banana farm, witch doctor and tea plantation. The highlight was walking through the tea plantation when a little girl took one look at the two mzungus and ran screaming for her life. I don’t blame her. Ali is literally the whitest person in Africa and the little girl probably thought Madonna’s PA was coming to catch and adopt her for Madonna. Black kids are cute. All rich people should have one.
Bye for now, dinner is being served. Gorillas tomorrow so can’t wait!
