So...at this point, I still have a whole week left here in Helsinki!  Pauliina has to work this week, so it's on me to wander around as I please...  I feel like I'm not going to do too much though...  Trying not to spend money is hard work, AND I'm exhausted.

Saturday night, Pauliina took me to this club called Apollo.  The reason I mention it is because it was really really cool looking.  It was HUGE!!  It used to be an old theater, so there was the main area downstairs with a stage, but then there were levels as well.  We sat at the top, so we could see down.  It was an old theater, so it had private booths all long the sides. It was really neat.  The band....well, they sucked.  Really bad actually.  It wasn't that they played bad--no they were fine musicians, and all.  It wasn't that they were Swedish.  It was more that they were an 80's cover band.  Nope--that wasn't the problem either...  The PROBLEM I had, was that they played these really obscure songs that I've never even heard of before--weird ones too!  Then proceeded to rock out really cheesily... Though, the Finns seemed to know some of them, so alas, the world was not revolving around my ethno-centric, "good music only comes from America" self.

Another thing:  I've had amazingly, fantastic weather on this trip!!  Little to no rain in fact!!  Finland is not known for it's sunshine...but neither is Korea at this time of year...  Before I left, I said a little prayer, and put an order in with God for some sunshine...knowing perfectly well that good weather on my trip to Finland was probably not high on God's to-do list.  But!  He must've heard my plea, cause it's been great!  ....or He's just reminding me to take it in because Korea's rainy season this year has been insanely loooooong..... There's been rain in the forecast almost every day, but either we've missed it, or been in the right place at the right time, cause I haven't had to open an umbrella once!!!  I never I knew I could get such a great tan at the 60th Parallel!!  Sweet!!
