i forgot to mention last entry that like many of the other andaman islands and surrounding area, tourism has become the primary source of income for koh lanta.

tomorrow, we head to the beaches of rai leh near krabi.

i got an email from my sister in which she said my silly mom told her to tell me not to head to thailand's beaches because of the tsunami ghosts. the people here all fear the spirits that roam too. if there are indeed ghosts roaming around, i don't fear these ones because their deaths were the result of such a tragedy, and i feel sad for them more than fear. normally, the idea of ghosts would really freak me out though..

no more photos from the trip until my return to canada.. sorry folks! my battery charger broke (i think) because it fell on the floor recently (sorry carey!) and all my rechargeable batteries are dead now. to tide you over, here are some random photos (not mine) of where we are, and where we are heading:
