I. JUST. LOST. AN. ENTRY. I. SPENT. SOMETHING. LIKE. ONE. FUCKING. HOUR. OF. MY PRECIOUS. LIFE. WRITING.
STUPID. FUCKING. PIECE. OF. SHIT. INTERNET. CONNECTION. AND. COMPUTER. FROM. THE. DEPTHS. OF. HELL.
sorry guys, i'm now officially in too bad of a mood to re-write the whole damn thing so you will all have to suffer and not hear more about the past week. please be assured that it was probably the most exciting week of our lives too (okay, i'm kidding.. but still). i'm especially sorry to wenzie (my blog's biggest fan ;)) whom i had dedicated that entry to. at least i'm going to post some photos this time, unless i lose that too.
in brief:
-we had a horrible 22-hours-and-3-bus/van-rides from vientiane (lao) to hanoi (vietnam) during which time i was cranky, had to pee, and was very very hungry (no food for 12 hours).
-after arriving after 2AM at a bus station by the outskirts of town, jessica's xe om (motorbike cab) driver got into a fight (including with a metal pipe or something he had picked up that was never used in the end, thankfully) with some other driver who wanted our business (since they ripped us off on the price by more than double, as we found out later).
-tet (lunar new year) in vietnam is more interesting than back in canada since virtually everyone here celebrates it.
-the first time i was here (4 years ago) was a very intense and amazing experience. it's not the same this time around, of course, since no subsequent time is ever like the first time back, but it's good to be in hanoi again (i love this city) and to see family.
the fucking end.
