This weekend was my first time in St. Louis.
I stayed with my friend Rachel from college and we saw all of the sights that St. Louis has to offer.
We first went to the Omni max at the science museum and saw a show called the Alps. It was amazing the screen went almost all the way around us and the shots of the mountains were amazing.
Then we went to see the arch. it was much bigger than I expected it to be, it is the tallest thing in St. Louis.
It is also actually pretty, pictures don't do it justice. As we were leaving the arch headed to our next St. Louis destination it started to rain and the sun broke through the clouds and created a gorgeous rainbow. As we traveled it came to rest just inside of the arch creating a beautiful photo.
We then went to the "Old Spaghetti Factory" for dinner, all the pasta you could ever want. And then we headed to Ted Drews for desert. They make an amazing custard that is famous in St. Louis, and it shows, they probably had upwards of 200 people standing around outside this little window in the wall ice cream shop. I got a raspberry concrete, it was very yummy.
Then we made our way to downtown St. Louis where they had a festival going on. They had some old country band playing, which wasn't very exciting but they did have fireworks. And you know how much I love fireworks :-)
After the fireworks we headed back to Rachel's house. The next day I attended Rachel's church and then headed back to Indianapolis. All in all it was a very delightful weekend for my first time in St. Louis. The only thing that I wish we would have been able to do is see a Cardinals game.
