Enterting into La Paz is quite an experience.  Bolivia has a massive number of protests and when we tried to enter the main bridge across the river it was blocked.  After a small delay we managed to get a pass through the hoards of protesters.  La Paz is the capital of Bolivia and sits at over 3650m (11,975ft) and resides in a valley.  One of the main attractions is to take a mountain bike along the old road which crosses the mountain region.  Before a new road was built this was the most dangerous road in the world (due to its death toll!) as its got massive inclines (going from 4700m down to 1500m in ~60km), land slides, rough terrain.  The views from the old road are amazing and hitting speeds of 30mph coasting along the road you have to be careful, along with the fact at some points the road is only a few meters wide with a drop of thousands of meters past the edge.  Also to complete the day there are three zip lines across the road at the lower part of the road.  We are now moving south west and heading into the salt flats to complete our Bolivian experience.
