What a funny day!  (I'm writing this in Bahrain trying my best to remember the days events).
LKJ and I both slept like crap in our smoke infested hotel room at the Brittania.  However, we weren't too dismayed as it was the wedding day.  The boys rang in the morning from the lobby to come for a visit, however we were both still sleeping and I had to inform them that we were not ready to receive guests.  Yes, I actually said that!  :)
From time to time during our trip thus far, and usually in an airport lounge, Kath and I had been writing a lovely speech/poem for the boys on their wedding day, as Kath had asked to speak at the wedding.  Kath and I finally finished it in the BA lounge in Toronto and it was a cracker!  However, LKJ was pouring some very heavy drinks to inspire us, and we didn't quite remember all that we had written, but knew we would have to tweak the speech ever so slightly before the wedding.  Well, when we went to tweak our speech - IT WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!  We had both tossed EVERYTHING out of our suitcases looking for the bloody thing to no avail.  It appears in our slightly inebriated state we left the bloody speech in the lounge.  Kath was devastated.  I was speechless.  Kath conceeded and said she would just get up and make a toast, but I just couldn't see that happening.  So you can imagine the pair of us in our smelly hotel room trying to rehash all that we had written over the last couple of weeks.
