On the third day in France, finally, I payed a visit to Mont St Michel. It was a little bit far from Paris and only one way took me 4 hours by TGV and a local bus. When I changed a train to a local bus at Rennes, I couldn't find the bus terminal. So I asked a French girl near the train station. Although she told me that she might not be able to tell me where it was, because of her poor English. However, I found her English was pretty good, but she didn't know the bus station where I wanted to go. As a result, she told me to go back to the train station and ask the staff there. When I reached the bus terminal, there were a lot of Japanese tourists waiting for the bus to leave. Then I felt sure that it was the bus terminal which I looked for.
Mont St. Michel was a small walled city, and the best attraction was the abbey. The abbey was grand, but the entrance fee was a little bit expensive
On my way back to Paris, I met a senior Japanese couple, boasting that they came to Mont St. Michel by themselves. I thought they were really brave and I hoped they were able to safely come back home.

. Nevertheless, I didn't hesitate to buy a ticket even a moment. The scale of the structures inside was huge. Everything including outside of the abbey, the city gate, shops and restaurants along the street up to the abbey, and the beach surrounding the city, was enough to satisfy me and it was absolutely worth visiting in spite of its long distance from Paris. When I got out of the abbey, I met a group of school excursion. They were probably elementary school kids. They must be very lucky to have a chance to visit Mont St. Michel for just a school excursion. I couldn't find such a great place around my hometown or even in my country. I could't believe it, if I was said, "the destination of the school excursion was ... Mont St. Michel!!"
