I knew Wentworth Falls as one of the top attractions of Blue Mountains (Blue Mountains National Park part of The Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area!). So I wanted to see it for a long time and finally found a walk to the falls in my bushwalking club schedule. Besides, the pass we took this time was National Pass, which is one of the finest bushwalking trails in Australia. The town Wentworth Falls is a bit far from my town Orange and it took two hours to get there. We started walking at nine from the Conservation Hut, passed through Jamison and Wentworth Falls Lookouts and walked down steps to the middle level of the waterfalls. Then we walked on the National Pass Circuit along the cliff and Nature Track back to the Conservation Hut. Our walk finished around 1 pm and it was quite earlier than usual. Actually, it was fortunate for me because I had not had a good sleep on the night before and I was a little tired on the day. The weather was fine, paths were exciting and views from the lookouts were spectacular. Everything was great except that the water volume of the falls was small because we had not had rainy days those days, but it couldn't be helped. However, because Wentworth Falls is conveniently located on the way from Orange to Sydney and I sometimes go to Sydney, I may have another chance to visit the waterfalls.
