Where I stayed
Just after arriving in Sydney, I headed for my hostel located near Central Station. I mean I thought it was "near", but it was quite far to me, because of my heavy baggage. As soon as I left my baggs in my dormitory room (although there were no vacant beds at the time), I left for Watson's Bay. If I had visited there seven years ago, I would have not impressed so much by a view of the bay, but because I have not caught beautiful views these days, I was awed by a geat view from there. Unfortunately, a part of the park area was off-limits, but the main part of the park was accessible and I liked the picturesque part, taking a lot of pictures
The next destination was Bondi. It seems that Bondi is not as popular as Manly, but there were a lot of swimmers and sunbathers, when I visited there. My main purpose was walking along the clifftop from Bondi to Coogee, but I felt like bathing, too. Anyway, I fully enjoyed the walk on the coast with superb views. A lot of visitors to Sydney recommend Manly for a day trip, but I believe the coast walk is also very recommendable. although the walk has some ups and downs, I passed many joggers, so those who are confident in their fitness may be able to enjoy jogging, too.
When I came back to the CBD, I immediately headed to the Star City Casino by Light Rail, although I was not interested in gambling at all. I just needed to exchange money at its good rate, so I left the casino in five minutes. On my back to the hotel, I chose to walk through Darling Harbour. A night view from the Pyrmont Bridge was picture-perfect (please see the pictures below!) and I enjoyed a stroll for a while around there. When I reached the platforms in front of IMAX theatre, the harbour view broght back old memories with Jenny to me.... I took a short rest there and then walked down to Chinatown and had dinner in a food court just like old days.
By the way, I will be busy studying and working (not partying) from next week and may be unable to spare much time for travels for the time being. So I may not update this blog for a while... Anyway, thank you for reading my blog always.
