We are actually in Khotdwar, in the state of Uttaranchal, but the map pin above is close enough. We are beginning to feel like family here. We've been guided around by a friend of the Rawat family for the last two days. We are staying with Dr's H.S. and Pramila Rawat, the brother and sister in law of our friends in Victoria Jag and Kalpana. We have been very welcome here! Tonite we both even got a hug from Dadi --means grandmother in Garwalli, which is the regional dialect (for my family, think "bubbe"). We're taking a million pictures and tomorrow are off to the village in the hills that the family is from. There'll be no "facilities" there (whatever that means, we'll find out) so probably no broadband internet, but that's just a guess. When we return in a few days, there'll be time to upload pictures.
