Koh Phi Phi
This Post Only Exists For A Urine Joke

Choosing to scope out another beautiful location on the west coast rather than spend time heading over, we got a boat for one of the most gorgeous locales, Koh Phi Phi. It is pronounced to rhyme with "no, Fifi." Go ahead, say it out loud. Louder. So your coworkers can hear you.
Ha ha ha, you said "pee pee".
I wish I could say I came up with that gem but I'm afraid all credit really ought to go to the talented and always grown-up Ms. Keishi Rari.
Koh Phi Phi was defo geared towards tourists, particularly Swedish tourists, but it had its charms. One odd thing was fixed prices for everything on the island from shop to shop. Nice not to have to shop to compare prices but strange to this capitalist.
We arranged a snorkeling trip for the next morning and hit 4 or 5 different cool sport, including "The Beach". It had been a while so at first I found the breathing really constricting but soon enough was diving down to chase fish, inspect the coral, and try to catch that one shark. We hung out with Canadians but even that didn't ruin it ;) In fact the only bummer was that the monkeys were a no show on Monkey Beach but that's OK because one had bitten me earlier on Railay. Oh and Ryan washed up on coral on the way to have his raw and festering back with the prize for Ryan's Injury of the Country.
That night we got to watch some soccer on the big screen at Reggae Bar and saw both Thai boxing and Amateur Thai boxing with two buckets and a good story to he who volunteers to get in the ring. I was halfway up but in a rare turn for the sensibly boring I preferred to keep my Everest hopes alive rather than nearly certainly gain the screwed-up ankles and noses that the other fellas were taking away. Last thing was to check out the Black Moon Party for a bit ... though Thailand is famous/notorious for the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, all you need to do is substitute "Full" with really any other adjective and you've got yourself crazy people on the beach that night.
Paradise can be found, but then sometimes you've got to leave. A brutally early ferry the next morning and we were on our way back to Bangkok!

Moral of the Story: OK, I think maybe you didn't get the joke. Go ahead back and say it real slow and clear and MUCH louder.

he he he
