On Saturday we spent a good part of the early afternoon riding the bus around Barcelona because we had decided Friday to save our legs when we went to Parc Guell since it is on the outskirts of Barcelona. When we got on the bus, we told the bus driver where we wanted to go, and he told us that he would let us know where we had to get off. He also told us to remind him from time to time so he didn't forget, but we hadn't understood him when he told us this. Soooo as you might guess, he forgot, and we rode the bus for an entire hour to the last stop, where the remaining riders got off, and the bus driver remembered (since we were the only ones still on the bus)! He apologized profusely, but also reprimanded us for not reminding him. He told us to sit up front so he wouldn't forget on the return, and this time we got off at the right stop! We got a cheap tour of Barcelona, although not exactly in the most beautiful areas and a bit of a waste of time... After Parc Guell, we walked a while and then took another bus to the other side of town to Parc Montjuic. The Olympic site of 1992 is there so we took some pics and wandered around, and at 8:00pm there was a fountain show in front of the main building in the park, the Palau de Montjuic. We stayed to watch it twice, then sat in the park a while, and afterwards took our time walking back to the station... our bus was scheduled to leave at 11:30pm. We arrived at the station at 10:45 and went to get our bag from the lockers... we were just in time!! We hadn't checked the hours for the lockers before hand, and they were closing at 11! We were imagining what would have happened if we hadn't come back before 11, but we were lucky so didn't have to worry about it!
