We finally arrived in Pisa on Feb. 20th in the early evening. Having travelled nearly a full day in trains, we were feeling pretty exhausted, so we called a few places and found somewhere to stay for the night, then went out and bought a loaf of bread and some yogurts for the next days breakfast and had a slice of margherita pizza for dinner. The italian style pizza is very different from ours, but tasty! We retired early and the next day woke promptly. At 8 we left the hotel to go see the leaning tower and its affiliates; we wanted to get an early start on the day. Unfortunately, it wasn't open yet to visitors, so we simply snapped a few photos and were on our way. Our hotel ended up being walking distance from the attraction, so after walking back and packing up, we caught a bus back to the train station and at around 9:30am we were on a train to Florence.
