Hi all and happy New Year.  We have arrived in Auckland safe and sound, leaving the rain and cold of home behond.  The trip from SF was pretty good, about 12 hours on the plane, non stop.  We have been doing a bit of nothing so far - going for runs on the waterfront and walking around this beautiful city.  It is amazing how similar Auckland is to Seattle (except its not raining).  We rented a nice little apartment with a kitchen.  Meals so far have consisted of PB&J.  We'll try some local fare once we are out of this incredibly expensive city.  We leave tomorrow for Routorua.  It's a four hour drive so we hope to see some of the country side.  Andrew is learning fairly quickly how to drive on the left side of the road, although he does like to hug the outside a little too much.  Needless to say, I am not an approved driver on the rental.  Andrw found out we have been invited on a 3 day rafting trip, so we may do that in a couple of days.  We had a lovely time seeing all of you who we spent time with over the holiday and we look forward to hearing from you soon.   Take care, Andrea and Andrew

Miss You Already
Hello Andrea and Andrew,

I returned to work today and have passed Andrea's empty office next door to mine all day long. It's not the same without you here, Andrea. Are you sure you wouldn't rather be here, slumped in your chair at your computer, writing a brief, pausing occasionally to look out the window at 39 degrees and pouring rain?
