Another 7.30am bus pick up (but again they turn up late!). Met 2 fine Irish lasses called Oonagh (try saying that after a few jars!) and Katherine and they kept me spirits high on a hell of a bus journey! (13 hours!)
Passed the Glass Mountains which was amazing!
Then arrived at Noosa - it was a really nice place, quiet and perfect to chill out. It's a popular holiday town and decent surf (although crap when we were there!). Jon, Si (who was taking photos of anything that moved!) and I exhausted all of Noosa in about an hour so were quite happy to get back on the bus!
Next Stop was Rainbow Beach - Famous for having 74 different shades of coloured sand! Jon went for a surf whilst I sunbathed with my 2 new Irish friends! Couple of more bunnies got on the bus - this is better!
Had a Didgeridoo lesson here and I was quite good (for all of a minute and then couldn't work out the necessary breathing techniques to carry on any longer!).
Continued the bitch of a journey to Hervey Bay - as we got into the area we got ushered in by 3 miles worth of Fruit Bats - minging!
6 of the peeps were in a dorm together and I missed out on this (and the delightful Petra who I'll come onto later) so I was stuck with 2 German birds........wouldn't be bad but they were big birds massaging each other in their smalls when I walked into the room - Random!
$12 eat as much as you can buffet (which we told only 1 plate each - slightly contradictory!) and the VB was absolutely flying with Me, Si, Jon, Ian and Vicky, Oonagh, Katherine and Petra getting mullered! Tequila shots were also flying towards the end of the night!
Petra is stunning (see pics) and Leichtenstein only has 30k population! I think Neath has more people than that! Anyway, spent a great evening with her and will hopefully catch up with her in London. Possibly one of the finest iccle bodies I've seen! :o)
RANT 12 - Darren the bus driver. He turns up 30 mins late and takes it out on us. Wanker - we want Max back! He then was quiet for the 13 hour stint and complained in the night that he didn't wanna do the job etc - well fucking quit then you prick!
RANT 13 - Service Staion stops - WHY?! It's far too expensive for travellers!
RANT 14 - Heard about the Typhoon today - WHY?! Ruined loads of people's lives and we don't get to go to a couple of places! :o(
RANT 15 - Didgeridoos - We had our lesson from Darren (driver) instead of an Aboriginal dude. He didn't know how to play it - BONG!
