We're now in San Francisco, CA. To get here, we drove over the Rocky Mountains from Reno. Apparently Presidential candidate Obama was speaking in Reno today. As we drove west, there were cops at every exit and other people at certain points along the highway. There were some nice views from the highway as we went through the mountains. There was snow on some of the peaks. It was a little nerve racking with the 6% grade going up and down the mountains, but we made it down. We stopped for lunch in Sacramento. We hit some traffic as we approached the Bay Bridge to San Francisco. At Pacifica, south of San Francisco, we went to the beach to put my feet in the Pacific Ocean. I think you could get in, but not last more than a minute or so. It was numbing. There were some people, including kids, in wetsuits out surfing. There was not much of a surf. There was also a lot of fog right off the coast. It was also much cooler then it was in Reno. I had to put a sweatshirt on. We then went to the RV Park - Candlestick. Candlestick is right across from the San Francisco's 49ers Monster Park. Uncle Bill says it's called Candle Park. Doesn't look very big. I had an interesting time while I was doing laundry. I tried putting quarters in, but it wouldn't accept it. Uncle Bill came along and said I need dollar coins. When Uncle Bill went to the desk, they said that dollar coins are used quite often. We said they aren't on the east coast. Tomorrow, Uncle Bill is renting a car and we are going out to explore San Francisco.
