Wa hoo !! Have finally got going on my travels (after a few classic Crump moments generated a bit of a delayed start) & have spend the first few days around Cape Town just relaxing and getting used to the warm weather (although managed to get a go a bit red after my first day in the sun !)...

We're staying in a really nice B&B Herdy organised in Sea Point, round the coast a bit from the V&A waterfront & town. Its a really cool city, although as people already mentioned back home, not massively different from the UK. The area we're in is the gay area too (our B&B is run by a fantastically entertaining couple who've just got the most adorable little puppy - clichetastic !!), so it really is pretty much like being home - apart from the fact the food, wine & beer is always great & really cheap !!

We climbed about two thirds of table mountain yesterday - obviously at 11.30am, just as it got nice & hot... Baboon at Cape Point

! It was great fun, although there was obviously a bit of Nina moaning going on too. I think we would have made it up apart from the fact that there was a bit of a steep high bit of rock directly ahead which I wasn't really in the mood to risk my life climbing up ! Also saw some seals playing down at the V&A waterfront yesterday late afternoon which I was pretty excited about !

We're going to Robben Island later this afternoon, which should be really interesting before heading off to the cape, winelands & garden route at the end of the week, so I'll post more when I get the chance.

I'll also try & get some pictures up when I can, although there might be a bit of a delayed reaction sorting those out so I'll do a few together in a while...
