I wanted to wake up early today and get a head start on a promissing sunny day, but I slep in untill 9 and we at a lazy breakfast. The plan for today? Major shopping. I had hopped that there would be some affordable clothes in Napier and I was not dissapointed. The Warehouse, which I had never heard of before, is like Walmart back in Canada. It also helped that everything was on winter clearance. I found a nice white winter vest for 24$ and tried it on and found one that fit, had already decided to buy it when mom tells me it's down. Down! So I bought it along with a nice pair of jeans. We then went for lunch at the local Mc Cafe. We don't have anything like it in Canada but Mc Donalds is relatively new to New Zealand and they try harder to accomodate the local people. They have reasnable prices and good healthy food. I had a chicken and plumb rap while mom ate a chicken and appricot sandwhich. I also got to try my first fluffy. It's like steemed milk and it's made for children so that they have something to drink while there parents have coffe.
I was able to visit the musium and see a vast collection of art, though I wish it was displayed to inhance each image instead of overcrowding the walls with different styles and subjects. There were two floors to the musium, one dedicated solely to art and one displayed the distruction of Napier by the Earthquake and it's reconstruction. The information provided was facinating and I loved the artwork.
After the musium I went shopping some more. A store called Farmers also sells things at a reasnable price and I took advantage of there sales. I took the liberty of perchasing a Code Cracker code book so you all can have a go when I get back XD. I bought two shirts and another pair of pants and thus concludes my day of shopping. I really like Napier and I was sad to leave.
