Today was another day on the road. Not much to report. We stopped at a bird sanctuary to try and see some wild birds but it was raining and windy so there wasn't many there. We saw one. Woot. We also saw some penguins and fishermen. Today was the first day we got lost and this was because the signs disappeared. The roads in New Zealand are very well marked, until you get to the 16 or 18 somewhere. We stopped for directions at a supper market and ate lunch in the parking lot. The man at the supper market gave us great directions because when followed they got us exactly were we wanted to be. We made one stopped at a gas station, filled up the tank and emptied ours and then drove the rest of the way to lake Rotoiti. We are staying in a time share resort here in a very nice villa on the lake front. Hopefully the weather will clear up so we can go out on the lake in a paddle boat of row boat or go zorbing or go to the hot springs...or do anything really.
