After we quickly settled in at our new hotel, it was time to walk into town. Our hotel is about a five minute walk from the center of Ste-Maxime...far enough that it is a bit more quiet, near enough that it is a pleasant stroll.
Vanessa and I bought a few snack foods at the market in town and after we had a delicious meal at the hotels restaurant with everyone, she and I decided to head back into town.
We ended up at a bistro called "La Wafoo" where they had live music. We snagged a table outside and enjoyed the sounds of such American favorites as "Little Pink Houses" and "Uptown Girl".
Chatting with our neighbors, we met a wide variety of fellow travellers and holiday goers: a family from the States who come here every year, a couple from New Zealand, some folks from England, Ireland.....shall I go on? :-)
It was a fun and entertaining night. A gathering of travel lovers and adventure seekers.
