The island of Serifos is located on the western part of the island cluster, making it a vista of other Cyclades islands.

Today was out last day on a Greek island and was unfortunately my least favorite island that we visited. But l still enjoyed my final beach day, walking to golden Livadakia beach where Sarz found a shady tree and Onya and l some sun and l tried to get into my new book but without much luck and l started drawing circles in the sand in front of me thinking about life. I swam a little and sunbaked a little before venturing to the beach side taverna where Gronya was writing postcards and where l pulled up a deck chair and sat looking out at the water and chatted with George about life for a good couple of hours while the other boys played backgammon. I then caught up with Silpa and chatted to her sitting beneath a palm tree, everybody was a little down this day...it was the last day of the cruise and home and work was awaiting most people the following day Serifos port

. Me on the other hand still had a couple of months left of traveling yet l knew l would miss the Greek islands terribly....this week has definitely been one of the highlights of my last 10 months of traveling. Not just because of the beauty of the islands but because of the amazing and inspirational people that l have met along the way.

I walked slowly by myself back up the hill to the boat and just stood and starred at the ocean for l don't now how long, just getting lost in that moment, not really thinking about anything. I returned to my cabin and packed my bags hardly believing that the cruise was almost over- but for me the night was just beginning!

Sarz and l got dressed up for the final night and decided to eat alone at beautiful taverna where our chairs and feet rested in the sand and the water was almost lapping our feet as we sat under a huge palm tree umbrella. The food wasn't terrific but the sunset and the mood was perfect. We met up with the Irish girls and ate a huge dessert of Greek dumpling/donuts by another waterside taverna and then went jewelery shopping in the backstreet's of Chora. We then retreated to the deck where l said goodbye to my favorite American actor couple who almost left me in tears with their words of encouragement. We spent the rest of the night on board the ship as it sailed out of the port at midnight and out into the Aegean sea back to Piraeus. We sat up most of the night talking, dancing and just having a wonderful time with our new friends....and enjoying our final night living the cruising life!
