Today we had a very early start at 6:30AM. We were picked up at our Budapest hotel and driven to the airport for our Prague flight. It's quite convenient that mom had the wheelchair service at all the airports considering that in most of Europe you board planes the old fashion way. Planes are not parked next to the gate, but rather out on the tarmac. This means that you need to be transported by the airport's bus to the plane and then climb up the stairs to the plane's door. In mom's case, she gets transported in the special wheelchair vehicle and helped up and down the stairs to board and deplane. We get VIP treatment. Nice...

It was a short 1:10hrs flight to Prague and upon arrival we were met by the driven and taken to our hotel in the old city center. It's about a 20 minute drive from the airport. We checked in and went out for lunch since our rooms where not ready until 2PM. I immediately spotted an Indian Restaurant in one of the brochures that seemed fairly close; Indian Jewell. We walked over and they were open for lunch. Dad kept saying he wasn't hungry until he realized we were having Indian food and his eyes lit up. We had dahl soup, vegetable briyahni, aloo gobi and chicken makhni for myself. It was very good but unfortunately they were out of samosas. We made a point of coming back before leaving Prague to try their samosas.

After a short walk back to the hotel, our rooms where ready and dad was ready for his afternoon nap. We were all a bit tired from traveling so it was nice to take a break.

This evening we strolled through some of the pedestrian streets and had our first glimpse of the Old Town Square and the Astronomic Clock. Everything was lit up and looked beautiful. Prague feels like an old fashion fairytale with it's 12-15th century architecture. This evening we went out to dinner at a fish restaurant nearby. We sat outside and mom was intrigued that they had blankets available at the table for guests to use. Temperature has dropped to the 50'sF so it only made sense. Another delicious meal where they were able to accommodate our requests.

Time for bed...zzzzz
