Hello all, us again!

So Singapore is the last stop before making it half way around the world to Australia and its so expensive! No cheap rooms and food here just spotlessness and efficiency! The border crossing was fun as always and there were a few difference between the Malaysia and Singapore approach to customs! Still very helpful people on the bus willing to help the silly westerners with their guide book and 27 bags!

When we were dropped off at the bus stop we knew sort of where we were but not exactly and were feeling the long days travelling as well as the painful straps from our bags! We didn't have any Singaporean dollars either and everywhere was full, shit! Finally found an exchange place and a room (very expensive and definitely rented rooms out by the hour!) but at that point we didn't care! Quick dinner in the closest place we could find a well earned beer before passing out.

Next day spent many hours searching for an Internet place (would think Singapore would have loads but apparently not) to confirm our tickets which took hours. Then went to the waterfront and looked at (could not afford) the cable car which goes across to the small island and generally spent the day feeling hot, frustrated and throwing money away :( Still that evening we did manage to squeeze in the night safari at the zoological gardens which was excellent and would really recommend this to anyone going to Singapore. As with everything here it was very efficient and very impressive (shame the price matched). Once inside you catch a tram through the various 'habitats' like Himalayas or savannah which were huge natural looking enclosures. There was minimal lighting and trails you could do and with the dark, spider webs and mozzies it really felt like wandering through the jungle to find leopards, great! Shame we could not spend longer there but we had to catch the plane to Oz.

Keep Smiling everyone and stay in touch!
