The first thing i read about Suzhou in the guide book, is that it is famous for its gardens, beutiful WOMEN and silk. so excitment lay ahead. the train journey, involved 16 hours, passed in the carrages (6 birth sleepers), with ipod switched up, and another intrepid group near by, we drank our way through it! i've already been ripped by kate, for picking up a little austalian in my speach, damm it, theres so many of them.
the temp was a little better, and we hire bikes, lots of fun, and fairly deadly, we ride the city, apart from the east londener who can't ride a bike! it's pretty crazy. we enjoy a beutiful garden, see pics. on the way back we get split up at the crazy crossings, but all make it back safe and sound, before having a large korean dinner, cooking meat on the table, fantastic, followed by a few pints of expesive old speckled hen and boddingtons.
the next morning, we take a small boat cruise, before jumping on the train to shanghai. More thumbnails ...
