Went house hunting with Judy today. We looked at a place on the beach just north of town in a great neighborhood. Great potential. May be out of our reach financially, but we'll see. Heck, we may even end up on House Hunters International. Judy says the producer has told her he wants to use that house on the show planned for here. That would be fun! Of course, we would need to get Ty Pennington to do a Home Makeover International because it needs a lot of work. But Frank and I were talking about what we would do to it. Hmmm. Need some investors.

We also saw a four-casita property on the lagoon side south of town. Price was right and the property itself has potential, but the location - at the end of a long, windy, bumpy-as-hell road through a sketchy neighborhood - crossed it off our list.

The three of us had lunch at Waragumas, which I had heard great things about. The burritos were huge. And tasty. Judy had to run off to an appointment, so Frank and I decided to rent a golf cart and explore a bit. We first drove north across the new toll bridge. North of the San Pedro River is where a lot of the high-end resorts and condo complexes are. Captain Morgan's - home of Fox's ill-fated Temptation Island series - is 4 miles north of San Pedro Town. We didn't make it quite that far. The road is atrocious. Not a trip the average tourist wants to attempt more than once. Those resorts all have water taxi service to get to town and I would recommend that! But anyway, we first stopped at Coco Loco Bar. We had seen it advertised for sale for $149,900 and wanted to check it out. It was a very cool location - attached to a condo complex. Right on the beach, with swim up service from the pool. Unfortunately, we found out it had already sold. After that, we drove on, past the lagoon on the left and the beach on the right. Some nice houses and complexes up there. Some sketchy areas as well. And that ROAD! Oy! Gotta take the water taxi next time.

Then it was on to the south of town. We drove down to another local area called DFC. Again, not an area we could do business in. Then we drove back along the beach and saw a gathering of folks by the lagoon-side road. We had stumbled upon the crocodile feeding we had heard about. Local young men (egged on by drunk tourists) were taunting the crocs with a whole chicken on a rope. There's some local flavor for you. We stopped at Fido's Sandbar to have a drink and listen to Belizean favorite, Kelly McGuire. Another busy day in paradise!
