We've been in Byron here for a long time...and with good reason. What a great place. And we've had a great crew going...Dylan, myself, Kieran (a cool Irish dude), Jeff (A beauty from Winnipeg), Frieda (The swedish girl), and Nikki (from England...she just left for Sydney last nite). For the past week, we'd all get together everyday and spend 8 hours at the beach surfing and hanging out...then booze and jam out on the guitars at nite...It's great to be able to paddle out with 6 friends in the water and just goof around...and the waves have been a little better the past few days...over 3 feet. Dylan is getting heaps better and is catching everything, Jeff improved with a longer board, hell, even Nikki was dropping in. And it only gets better. Frieda unfortunately departs for Sydney tommorrow but crazy Jeff is going to join Dylan and myself as we slowly make our way south to Sydney, stopping at every surf beach along the way, drinking pints, eating fresh seafood, and checking out the big stuff (Australia is famous for big stuff...big pinapple, big banana, etc...) The shark patrol heads south on Sunday.
The never ending party that is Byron Bay...We are all thinking about pitching in a million dollars and getting a party house overlooking Watego Surf Beach...pocket change.
