This place is Friggen Nuts. No one sleeps. It's a party every nite, all nite. Last nite was unreal. We arrived in this small little beach town in the evening...its just a small strip of hostels and bars on the ocean. So we get this sweet room at Magnum's hostel and get into things. I'm jamming on the guitar...we are drinking wine and rum and soon enuff a bunch of people are over with us on our patio and we are jamming and drinking...next off to the bars...the hostel bar, some irish bar, Africa Bar...just too much..Red Bull Vodkas...Jesus. A great time. And today we've just been recovering.
Apart from being a party town, Arlie is also the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Hailed to have some of the most beautiful and deserted beaches in Australia - they are also part of the Great Barrier Reef. So tommorrow we might get on some boat and tour around out there and go snorkelling on the reef again.
