I love everything about London,...well, except the people and the traffic. So besides the people and the traffic , London rules....except for the pollution. So except for pollution, traffic and people, London is great....except for the public transport. Lets re-cap, besides people, traffic , pollution and public transport, London is bloody amazing.....oh yeah, everyone spits. Except for people, traffic, pollution, public transport and spitting...it’s a cracking town.......a few other cons have come to mind ,but believe me, London is awesome...why else would I feel so crap about leaving her behind
Anyway, here we are, Trace and I, sitting in the airport waiting for our plane to take us away on the first leg of what will definitely be an epic journey.
In 12 hours time Houston may well have a problem....stay tuned for more updates on Mike and Trace’s GARGANTUAN GETAWAY.
We touched down into Houston airport after a surprisingly comfortable flight. We’d been warned about the heat in Texas but this was hot man, so hot. Breathing in warm air was like swimming in syrup.....laborious....and sticky
The Texan passport control was un-surprisingly over the top but we tried our best to remain in good humour due to this being the start of our trip......but that feeling waned somewhat after standing in what appeared to be a static queue for an hour. I won’t linger on this topic as our moods were soon lifted again. This was due to the friendly faces of Sharky and Mike waiting for us on the "outside". They swept us away in their air-conditioned chariot to what I can only describe as their sanctuary. I don’t think I’ve ever wound down that quickly in my life before.
Needless to say, after a few beers the time difference caught up with us and Trace and I retired around 21:30 so as to be ready for a bit of exploration in the morning.
