Flag of Western Sahara  ,
Sunday, December 1, 2013

Today we drove through the desert,
first thing it was very foggy in patches but cleared completely by 10
am. Came across our first view of a beware of camels road sign. This
was then followed by lots of sightings of camels, both next to the
road and in the distance. Parked for lunch off the road overlooking
the sea. Very soon a bobby arrived and checked our papers and then he
asked for a bottle of spirits. He got the same reply but was quite
happy. Also today we have passed into Western Sahara, it is a
separate country administered by Morocco since they took it from
Spain in a bloodless coup in 1982. Her I have to wear trousers or
skirts below the knee and t shirts with a sleeve and no low necks.
Temperature at the moment is 29. We are parked up for the night in
the desert.
