Nha Trang - The hunt for shorts......

Seeing as we had been cheated out of some sun, sea and sand in rainy Sri Lanka (feels like years ago!) we head over to Nha Trang on the coast of Vietnam for some beach action.

Eight hours on a train and nearly 60 games of sh*thead later (no joke), we arrive in Nha Trang and find a cheap guesthouse close to the beach. On our 2nd attempt we found a cute little place for $11 including free internet and breakfast and only 100 metres from the beach. Cheap as chips!!

With tummies rumbling, we dump our bags and head over to the stretch of restaurants, opting for a little French bistro and ordered some food before heading back and passing out hoping for a day of sun the next day!

Nha Trang is known for its laid back vibe, watersports and nightlife but the latter seemed to be lacking. The place did have a few Aussies and english backpackers on their years' out in short mini skirts and crop tops (girls obviously) but there seemed to be a lack of atmosphere here! The economic crisis has certainly taken it's toll and Nha Trang was in high season and probably only half full!

Day 2 and the sun was out and showed us the beautiful beach and rolling waves to their full glory. Then became the mission to find a pair of shorts for Marisha! 15 shops later and a one fustrated Marisha with no purchase we headed for the beach and chilled!

Day 3 brought back the clouds and rain that we have been used to so far but we hired a scooter and after managing to find a mobile petrol station the weather changed and we both doned our leathers and headed out for a tour of Nha Trang in the sun via the coastal road. £4 to hire a scooter with no paperwork is an absolute steal!!

Nha Trang is probably a great place to stop and chill out on the beach for a few days, but during our stay the place lacked tourists/backpackers (which isn't always a bad thing) which contributed to the lack of atmosphere!
