Hey! It's New Hampshire! We may have gotten to do a show in my home state, but it certainly felt as foreign to me as any desolate mountainy-foresty-cold town. Our school was in Whitefield, New Hampshire. Beyond the White Mountain region (I didn't even know you could go more north than the White Mountain region), into the Great North Woods region. Scary-sounding, I know.

Actually, it was quite a pleasant drive. We left my parents house early. Honestly, we couldn't find any hotels much closer anyway. So we sucked up the two-hour drive and the early departure.

The school was friendly, and the kids helping us were pretty interested in what we were doing. I told them I was from California. Makes me sound cooler.

On our way back down, we stopped in nearby Littleton to check out Chutter's--home of the world's longest candy counter. Yessir, over 600 jars of candy across 112 feet of counter, all for our perusal. We rationalized our visit (and subsequent confectionary-partaking) with a goal of finding unique candies for our family's upcoming annual gingerbread party. Couldn't find a better place for candy-finding than Chutters! We filled our bags and our cheeks, and made the two-hour drive back south even happier than when we drove up.
