Show trip route
1) We were scheduled to be at the school all day--two assemblies in the morning, and two assemblies inthe afternoon. In between the sets, we had a big long break. I went to a local deli/cafe and ordered some great sandwiches. Kelsey had to stay with the equipment, so we had a picnic in the auditorium. After eating, we brought in our Wii and set it up with our show equipment. We had recently projected our Wii onto the wall of our hotel room, but that was nothing compared to projecting on our show screens! We played tennis, baseball, and bowling--all of them larger than life. Pictures attached.
2) After the third show, the fire alarm went off. Fortunately, it was after all the kids had already filed out of the assembly, and new ones hadn't started coming in yet. Kelsey and I were a little bit at a loss for what to do, because company policy says we cannot leave our equipment unattended. But the law says you have to evacuate the building. We decided to obey the law. Sorry Camfel.
Now, in our life experience in the past, a fire drill in the middle of January is one of the most cruel, cold-hearted, cold-bodied punishments a school could inflict on its students. But in Texas, it was a treat! It was nearly 70 degrees that afternoon, and the fire drill was a breath of fresh air to us. Then we all had to go back inside.... oh well.
