For those of you who were not there, here's a recap of the weekend...

Wednesday - arrived and ate well!  :)

Thursday - Happy Turkey Day!  Schaller side came over and we all ate together - good food!  We also played a lot.  Ugly Doll game - fantastic. 'UGLY UGLY UGLY"  Aw, Aunt Rae, we love you.  And Matthew schooled us all in Wits and Wagers.  I missed my parents and brother a lot - especially early on.  But between making gravy and well liked jello salad, I started feeling at home.  :)

Friday - Movie with Matthew!  Blind Side - if you haven't seen it, you should.  Then the Domeny side came over for the second thanksgiving!  More good food.
Then, I had a delightful suprise.  There was a birthday party planned, VERY unexpected.  It was so nice.  We had a ice cream chocolately heavenly cake from Coldstone.  And presents.  Not to go unmentioned, I got my first batch of rice crispy treats from Great Grammie.  It's a family tradition and now I'm family, too!  :)  Thanks, guys!  That night, Mike, Matt and I played more games!

Saturday - We all chipped in to start the tiling project in the kitchen.  Matt gets to finish it, but I had a blast with the creative outlet.  But the real creativity came in later... GINGERBREAD PARTY 09!!!  We made a seaport.  A variety of candies and colors gave a lovely texture and unique palate of hues and flavors.  It won Most Elaborate and Best in Show by popular vote.  But that is not to undermine the competition - check these out.  For more - go to my facebook page and see Doug Domeny's Photo Album.

After the party, we had more Christmasing to do.  We went to the annual Festival of Trees!!!  I got great ideas for decorating whenever we get a home to decorate.  The evening was filled with beauty and Holiday Cheer.  Check out the website:

Sunday - We went to Church where Matt goes to school.  We enjoyed the service and the tour of the school.  We got to visit Great Grandpa and were fortunate to see Great Grammie in the lobby on our way out as she was coming in. Lunch was more turkey - I love leftovers.  We relaxed, played some games, packed and sadly came time to leave.

We had a relaxing, refreshing, and jam-packed with fun weekend.  We miss you all already.  Thanks for the memorable holiday!  This year we're thankful for family - X2.
