The town we are now living in is less than hospitable to those who don't speak Thai.  Most of the signs are in English and none of the storekeepers within walking distance know much English either. They will, however, be very gracious in their attempts to understand our broken Thai.
With that said, Mike and I realized that we needed a way to clean our laundry (and quick).  After unsuccessfully walking up and down our street we decided to explore our aartment building.  Sure enough, there was a group of communal washing machines... but no dryers.  The cost of electricty is so high that most people don't even know what a clothes dryer is!
After loading almost our entire collection of clothes into the washer, it dawned on us that our lack of clothes hangers would make it next to impossible to dry everything.  The air here is so humid that without having air flow around the clothes we would end up with mold.  Then, it dawned on me... we could use the bunkbed frame.  Mike and I set it back up (sans the bottom bunk) wiped down the frame, and *BAM* we had a huge drying rack.
Two months ago I would have paniced at the lack of something I found so basic in the US.  Now I have great pictures to send home! (which I will as soon as the internet connection speeds up)
