It was a quick stop of just over an hour in Seoul to pick up passengers and for the plane cabin to be given a clean over. We disembarked and went through a check point where they stuck a Transit sticker on our chests and sent us into the Transit lounge. We had just enough time to go to the toilet before it was back on the aircraft after the officials checked our passports etc to make sure we were the same people who had got off the plane. The dinner was very good, a starter of smoked salmon with a tomato onion salad followed by either pan fried fish served with a creamy saffron sauce, stewed vegetables and steamed potato or Dak gochu jang boekum which turned out to be a Korean style spiced grilled chicken with seasonal selection of vegetables and steamed rice. The rest was typical airline food, cheese and crackers, grape jelly, bread roll and butter and tea or coffee after which we were determined to try and get some sleep, not an easy task but a necessary thing to do. We were woken at about 4am when the flight attendants came round with snacks of frozen bananas, pretzels and curry fusion bread accompanied by water and orange juice. We thought their choice of food was a bit strange but after looking around the cabin we saw that most of the other passengers were Indians who had boarded at Singapore and Seoul so perhaps they were catering to their tastes rather than ours.
