So we got up in the morning and headed down to the bus station for the "4 hour" bus ride into The Plitvice Lakes National Park. The tourist info lady said that it was 4 hours. We heard that it was 6 hours but took her word for it. The bus ride ended up to be close to 7 hours and by the time it we arrived it was dark. The rain was coming down like no other and on top of that we were at a higher elevation no so it was freaking cold. I was in shorts and sandals so it made for a great walk. We didn't have accomodations and we quickly found out that we got off at the wrong bus stop. We should have gotten off 3Km earlier where all the places were to stay. Lucky the toursit info was still open and she helped us find a place to stay. We got changed, had hot showers and headed out for a bite to eat. The next day we were hoping for sun only because the Park is quite beautiful and it would just be that much better for pictures is the sun was shining.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is known for their outstanding landscapes, stunning waterfalls and coutless lakes. It took us about 7 hours to walk the park and we took one of the shorter routes. It was an outstanding park just to walk through. Anthony is a photographer as a profession so he was in pure bliss walking through the trees and coming around corners to see yet another gigantic waterfall.

Being from Canada I am used to the beauty of the outdoors but it was so cool watching Tamara and Anthony light up when they saw the park.

It is so hard to explain what was there so you are going to have to wait to see the pictures. Our Croatian tour was about over, one more stop in Zagreb and I would have to say my goodbyes to Ant and Tam....................
