So we headed over to the island of Hvar and it was incredible. I thought that Korcula was nice but Hvar was beautiful. We now had hooked up with another couple from England, James and Zannah traveling with 5 made it a little more tricky but over all it was a blast. A litte younger but mature for their age.
We grabbed another little Villa for accomodations. Over looking the sea and the mountains, it was picture post card worthy. Things are great and wounds were starting to heal nicely. I would love to say that we did all these amazing things but we just hit the old town for the day ate some food and hung out. The next day we had some fun.
We decided to stay off the scooters for the day and rent a boat. A little 5 horse power motor and we were headed into the open sea. Right on the coast line of Hvar there are these little islands. We crusied over to a couple of them and hung out and sun baked for most of the day. A 5 horse power motor on a little boat with 5 adults in it made for a slow ride but it was really nice seeing the sun was shining. We found this little private beach, we anchored the boat and chilled out there for the afternoon. Ate some sandwiches and over all a pretty easy day but a ton of fun.
When we got back in the boat to head over to another little spot, the curse of morotrized anything was about to hit us. We couldn't for the life of us get the motor started. We were now floating out to sea and no way to get back. Lucky for us there was some Austrains that had just taken our spot on the beach and they came and towed us back. They helped us get the motor started and we were on our way. Found another little spot on the other side of one of the islands and finshed up our day. We docked the boat and headed out for a bite to eat in the old town. The next day was scooter day!!!!!
We all got up and decided to rent scooters again, well most of us. I decided to hang back for the day, spend an afternoon to myself and let the 4 of them head out on the road. I played it safe, visited the caste in town, toured the sea wall, and took a bus ride into the little village not far from Hvar. It was really nice to spend a day to myself. I had a ton of fun traveling with these guys but I was missing the do anything, anytime aspect of my travels. We all hooked up in the evening for a bite to eat and some cards. The next stop was back to the mainland of Split...............
