Okay, it has only been a couple of days since I wrote in here and not a lot has happened but people seem to like to know whats going on. I will first start with the number one question asked since I have been here and I will answer it finally....

AM I EATING?? AND WHAT ARE YOU EATING??

I am eating, I am well fed I promise. I ate better in Amsterdam because it wasn't such an expense then it is London but still have had some really good food in London. Amsterdam, there are so many ethnic restaurant, and not Dutch. Indian, Mexican, Italian, you name it. I usally stated off with the basic Bagle, muffin and coffee for breafast (never been much for breakfast guy anyways) it was close to the hostel and the lady was really nice. Ate lunch on the fly usually pizza or something quick. Dinner ate at pubs, but it was all western food. Burgers, salads, you know pub food. I hasn't changed that much yet in my eyes. Lots of the backpackers eat at Mcdonalds because it is cheap and I have only eaten there once and it was at the Amsterdam Airport coming to London.

Since I have been here I have had a total of maybe 10 beers which is a hell of a lot lower then I thought it was going to be. When I got into London, it wasn't more then 24 hours and I had fish and chip, which everyone told me to have. They brought me the whole freakin fish. I'll post a pic of it later. Couple nights in the pub at the hostel but thats the extent of food around here. I'm not going to lie, not that different from home, which I kinda like, but know for sure that I am eating.

Okay on to the days.

I spent the day yesterday with one of my mom's friend's daughters, if that makes sense. We had an awsome day. It was kinda nice to be able to hang with people that I kinda knew and experience the sights with. There is a lot to be said about seeing the sights by yourself and doing what you want to do. They decided that they wanted to do London Rapid Fire. We spent a total of 30 seconds, literally, at Westminter abby and pretty much every other big monument in the city. Lucky for me I had the chance to take it all in the day before and actually appreciate it. We spent the rest of the day in the shopping district. The crowds where insane. Robson Street is nothing compared to what I saw yesterday. It was like shopping on Boxing Day except it was Monday!!!!!!! We spent about 4 hours down there and then hit a pub for dinner.

It is amazing how some people's appreciation for things are completly different. I came for the sights, they came for the shopping. Okay?

Today I went to the Tower of London. I didn't want to go because it was 17 pounds $34.00 Canadian but I knew the crown jewels were in there and I really wanted to see them. The tower itself functions like its own city. The keepers of the Tower Actually live in the tower with their families. They have to live in there if they want to become a keeper of the tower. Definally not the lap of luxury in there. Walked the grounds and checked out the Crown Jewels. They are what they are, goddy, over the top crowns, staffs and dinnerware, but it was really cool just to see them and the Vault they are kept in. I joined a walking tour that I snuck into,(I should have paid) of the tower and it was really interesting, he described the brutality that went on within the walls of the tower. The kings, queens and noblemen that were be-headed and displayed for the public. Went through the royal quarters of the tower and the torture chambers!! Over all I think it was worth the $17 pounds.

After that I came back to the hostel after getting lost for about an hour but don't have to talk about that!!!! I am now on the computer tring frantically to book a flight over to Dublin on Thursday which the computer isn't co-operating.

I think that is it.

The Soldier that I was rooming with left, and was replaced with a total jerk of a guy to talk to, so nights in the room have been pretty quiet for the last couple.

Okay, I won't write until I land in Dublin!! (Hopefully)
