During the day I could hear what sounded like air raid sirens in the distance. This turned out to be the local tornado warning which is performed every Wednesday. Picked up and collected Ryan and headed off for Laura's appointment with the chiropractor. The 'workout' room was an interesting array of folks on various machines. Laura laid on some bed-like contraption which made a huge amount of noise. I was imagining it to be something like the 'Orgasmatron' from the film 'Barbarella' and looking at the rather pleasurable look on L's face, perhaps I wasn't too far wrong!
Went to a food store in the German Village to hunt down ingredients to make a paella for Michelle and Alan who are popping over tonight. This place was how a deli shoud be....all manner of olives, cheeses, etc. During the evening I cooked the paella and prepared a salad with everything I could lay my hands on
Alan left to buy a couple of bottles of wine and on his return food was served. It seemed to go down quite well despite my not being able to find the ingredients I wanted.
Post-munchies, presents were given to Michelle for her birthday and young folks got increasingly boisterous as is usually the way at these events. However, I think the photos Laura took best sum up the evening, so I'll let them do the talking:
