Ko Lanta - our holiday in the sun



I think we are in love with Thailand! Ko Lanta island has everything you could ask for on a holiday - great beach, fantastic food, friendly locals, colourful and easy diving, and all extremely cheap. We have spent the last 6 days not really doing much! Ko Lanta is our holiday stop after working hard to get here so we have splurged a little and are staying on the beach in our own bungalow. It's still cheaper than going to the movies in oz. Every night we ate with the sand under our feet and the waves crashing in front of us. Michael is in love with the seafood (well, even more in love with it than he was before!)- tiger prawns and fresh fish (whole tuna and snapper, barracuda)on the BBQ nearly every night.

Went diving at Ko Ha (5 Islands), which was really good, thousands of tropical fish and other delights. Michael went fishing on a longboat + managed to catch 5 edible fish including 3 snapper (dinner).


Unfortunately Kate gets the first points for getting very ill and spent three days in bed with a severe stomach, head, and general all over body illness. Hopefully it doesn't resurface.

Heading off to Phuket soon then the bright lights of Bangkok beckon us.
