Thursday 18th February 2010

I caught the tram into Melbourne and spent about 3 hours looking around the shops, searching for a present. I eventually found what I was looking for and retired back to the hotel for a siesta, this shopping sure is tiring!

In the evening I went out visiting the uncle of a friend and had a very nice BBQ and a few beers.

Friday 19th February 2010

I went out visiting the cousins of the friend I mentioned above and was treated to a nice home cooked meal and a few more beers. In fact they insisted that I slept over so I could have a few more beers and watch the Aussie Rules Footy match and not worry about driving back.

Saturday 20th February 2010

I drove about 70Kms North of Melbourne to a place called Woodend to visit one of my daughter's bridesmaids. We went for a walk up Mount Macedon in the afternoon and went down the local pub (in walking distance) for some pub grub and a few beers in the evening. I stopped the night, and drove back to Melbourne after breakfast on Sunday morning.

Sunday afternoon I went to the local market at St. Kilda but it was a bit too arty ***ty for me! Back at the hotel I packed my bags yet again ready for an early drive to the Airport.

Only a few photos to attach this time, cos I’ve spent more time looking through the bottom of a beer glass than I have through the lens of a camera, I will have to do better from Wellington!
