So, my lasting memories of Dresden will unfortunately be of strapping German lads nonchalantly wandering down the hostel corridors in nothing but thier baggy undies ( I missed it, but Mick tells me that he saw one lad with a lovely pair pulled rather high up his wasit with his singlet tucked in - damn, I'm so upset I missed that) and standing on the train platform waiting for a train that was an hour and a half late and getting frostbite in the minus temperatures.
I feel kinda bad about making no attempt whatsoever to see this city, so if anyone reading this has been there, and can tell me about some wonderful, exciting thing that we missed, I would love to here about it. The train ride was spectacular though, through these amazing moutains and ridiculously cute villages. Everyone was out sledding and skiing, and I just wanted to stop the train and get out and join in. We have no photos, but I have attached some more of us in Prague and surrounds. The photos get pretty bad from here on in 1. because cameras don't cope very well in icy snow - they tend to freeze up and 2. I wasn't taking my gloves off for anything and I have discovered my brain goes a bit mushy in minus temperatures. Not that I'm whinging, it was great fun to experience, but I'm pretty sure our next holiday will involve beaches and warmer weather.
