We were up early and rushed to Ocala where we left the interstate to drive by some thoroughbred horse training ranches. But first, we spotted a yellow truck with a steady flow of customers. Yum, the best pulled pork BBQ on the planet!

Back on the interstate, we were ticking off miles toward the Florida panhandle. Then wham, the VW died and we coasted to a stop. Out of gas.  We had gassed up just before St. Pete's and could not fathom that less than 24 hours later, the tank would be dry. AAA bailed us out by sending a truck with a few gallons within 30 minutes or so.

A few miles further up the road, we stopped in Tallahassee for the night. Just passing through but we found a restaurant with very good fajitas and margaritas!
